Cookies just because…

After gaining some confidence in my cookie decorating skills (from all the sea creature cookies I made the week before), I decided to revisit flower cookies. I made these for a relative’s daughter’s 1st birthday party where the theme was “tinkerbell”. I think I’m starting to get the hang of these…

Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog! It takes me about 2hours to bake ~50-60 cookies depending on the size. It takes about 2-4 hours to decorate the cookies and another couple of hours for the icing to set. I like to work at night when the kids are sleeping and the hubby is doing his own thing. It’s a lot of work, but it’s fun and relaxing for me…unless I’ve procrastinated and have to do an all nighter to make my commits! ;p

Thank you also for want to order! It’s flattering! I’ll send you a separate email.

    Hello!

Yes, I was wondering if I could order from you too. It’s basically Christmas cookies and such. Customised cookies. I could send you a separate mail for a few pictures of the cookies design I want.

Get back to me soon. THANKS!

    Hi!
Your cookies are just beautiful! May I ask what type of icing did you use? Royal, buttercream or something else? Would you PLEASE share just your icing recipe & technique?
Sugar cookies are my very favorite to make! I love making them at Christmas time and also for the kids birthdays- however…I am not skilled at the icing! I have tried both royal and buttercream. The buttercream does not dry and they stick. Not to mention it is usually too thick. The royal icing seems to just run everywhere. I have tried thickening it a bit and using paintbrushes to apply, but then it just looks like watercolors and the icing just doesn’t set right.
I would be forever grateful if you could give me a few pointers and share your icing recipe.
…I won’t give up in trying!
    Thanks so very much!

    Hi there!

Your cookies are amazing!! I’ve “volunteered” to make 500 iced sugar cookies for Christmas for the kids at church, and I’ve been playing around with different icings – but nothing comes even close to what yours looks like! Do you have any pointers you can share?! I’m not new to cookie baking or anything, but flood icing and anything semi-thin just gives me fits! Those cookies are just beautiful!!

    Happy Thanksgiving!
    Natalie
